Ruud van Nistelrooy will play Anderlecht again with Hamburg this Thursday.
“They played a fantastic game against Bilbao. I know this team: it’s never an easy game against them.”
"The 1-1 in Spain was quite good. If you beat them with 4-0 at home… that’s impressive,” he says.
"At Anderlecht, everyone attacks and everyone defends. That’s the hardest thing in fotoball. They’ve been in shape all season, we’ll have to be careful.”
The Dutch striker is looking forward to both games. “I’ve never played at the Vanden Stock stadium. It will be two beautiful games between two beautiful teams.”
Van Nistelrooy also got to know Romelu Lukaku and he’s impressed. “I saw him taking off his shirt once. Well’, when I was 16 I didn’t have any muscles yet,” he laughs. “He’s strong and good. He’s from 1993 and already this decisive. We don’t see that a lot.”
