Manager Arsene Wenger revealed the news on Monday.
He stated that although the Dutchman who has been out since he suffered ligament damage during an international friendly against Italy in November, still expected to be out for the rest, he is doing very well and his making steady progress in his rehabilitation.
Wenger said: “He has come back [to the training ground] and is doing as well as you can at that stage,” said Wenger after the Bolton game.
“He is out of his boot and walks normally but he thinks he will be playing mid-April.”
predicted last month that Van Persie would be out for “virtually the rest of the season”. That is still the case.
